A small shop built for hard parts
Madison Defense Research is a three-person machine shop in Waunakee, Wisconsin, just outside Madison. We started in 2020 to make complex parts for space, munitions and defense programs, and that's still all we do.
How we work
We kept the shop small on purpose. When you send a package, the person who quotes it is the person who programs it and stands behind it. No account reps, no handoffs, and a straight answer on what we can do and when.
We take pride in this work because we know where it goes. One missed dimension can hold up a launch or put a warfighter at risk. So we build every job as if the mission depends on it.
